Travian Guide on raiding

Posted by:    in

Just by observing the “top 10″ statistics on travian, one can learn so much. Have you noticed that the top players gain over 100,000,000 resources every 7 days. I was surprised and decided to investigate. First thing I notices was all of them were Tueton. This allowed them to have fast moving cheap units which have the ability to carry a lot of resources after each raid. When you cross check with the statistics on the top raiders, you’ll find most of the people present in “top 10″ for resources too. This clearly means they consistently find new people to steal resources from.

Hence, they normally have very good attack scores too. A formula soon starts to emerge when you analyze all the observations :

Teuton + Mace Men + High Attack Scores = Vast armies built using other players’ resources.

The resource of time is very limited on travian. But if you keep raiding other people on a consistent basis, it allows you to leverage other people’s resources and time. Eventually, this will allow you to build a very big army. You must keep finding and raiding players who are weaker and smaller than you. Having a army of thousand maceman is no big deal as a Teuton. You can break this army down in to 5 troops of 200 and look to attack smaller towns with population between 50-75. These players seldom have a army to counter attack you. You might also want to raid these towns at night.
